Shakespeare

General Sites

Mr. William Shakespeare and the Internet - This is one of those "Mother of all Sites" sites. A wonderful place for links and discovery. It keeps me from adding to my site.
Shakespeare Classroom - A lot of materials for teaching Shakespeare, along with many links. The home page can take a while to load, but it is worth it.
Search the Complete Plays of William Shakespeare Online - Know Shakespeare wrote something, but can't remember where its housed in the Canon? Let this site do the searching.
The Works of the Bard - Contains the complete works, links, and a search engine.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare - The MIT site with a quick table from which to select any of the plays.
The Folger Shakespeare Library - Home page of an independant research library.

Hamlet

Hamlet - A wonderfully deep site, full of interesting content and links.
Hamlet - a sarcastic synopsis.

The Sonnets

The Art of Shakespeare's Sonnets - Helen Vendler's magniificent analysis of the sonnets.
Sonnets - Only one word for it: Glorious! A beautifully done web site, including audio readings of many of the sonnets. Downsides? The audio isn't real audio.  Luddy opened up,  but now the sonnet pages don't load.
Sonnets - A quick and dirty text file. Not at all impressive, but you can read it.
A Transvalued Sonnet. - What happens if you color sonnet 73, add graphics, throw some fancy fonts and generally wig out?
A "slow reading" or commentary - of Sonnet 65
An even slower line-by-line commentary - of Sonnet 138

King Lear

King Lear - The complete play, broken down scene by scene, or on one page.
King Lear's PalaceNET - A high school student's synopsis of the scenes.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Midsummer Night's Dream - An annotated version of the play.
